Ski Rescue Team
Quinty is in Avoriaz, France to enjoy a day in the snow, at least that’s what she thinks. She is actually going to spend a day helping the security rescue team. They have an important job because people get injured on the tracks every day. Quinty helps them out by rehearsing a rescue in a gondola, on the ski tracks and she finds out how important it is to keep the weather conditions up to date.



Gondola Rescue Team
Quinty starts the day by being rescued out of a gondola. Gondola’s take lots of people up and down the mountain every day and therefore it’s important to test the rescue team on their capabilities. They have to be able to rescue people out of the gondola in case of emergency. It can be kind of scary to slide down a rope, but at least you’ll be safe.

Ski Track Rescue Team
There are loads of people that enjoy a ski holiday every year. Many of them make it down the mountain in a safe way, but a lot of accidents happen every year. People who crash or brake a leg are not an exception on the mountains. Therefore the rescue team is alert. They rescue people by skiing towards them and take them down the mountain in a sledge.
A rescue team is more than necessary in the snow!
