Gladiator in Rome
How do I become a Gladiator? Winston can tell you all about it. He followed a course at a real Gladiator school in Rome! His teacher explains everything about the school and the events that take place every year. Of course Winston said yes, when he was asked to fight against another student in Gladiator style, including a matching outfit!



Gladiator School
As soon as you walk into the school for Gladiators you turn back in time. Catapults, lances and men with very short pants make sure you immediately get that Gladiator feeling. The school has about 200 to 300 students and after the training they can call themselves a real Gladiator. Every year, there are a lot of tournaments arranged for all the Gladiators from all over the world.   

Gladius
The word Gladiator thanks it name to the Latin word Gladius, which means sword. The Gladiators were the professional warriors from agent Rome and they literally killed themselves during wars. Nowadays most people are familiar with the Gladiators thanks to the movie Gladiator played by Russell Crowe.
