Boston Whaler motorboat
Boston Whaler, or just "Whaler" is a brand of motorboat manufactured by Boston Whaler, Inc. A Whaler is characterized by a foam-cored fiberglass hull with an outboard motor and center steering console. The foam-filled construction makes the Boston Whaler unsinkable.

The Unsinkable Legend
Due to the foam core construction, the Whaler will remain afloat even when sawn completely in half. Boston Whaler boats also remain afloat when completely swamped or after taking 1000 rounds of automatic weapons fire. Because of these attributes, Boston Whaler's trademarked sales line was and is "the unsinkable legend."
