Heli-skiing in Canada
Heli-skiing has become an increasingly popular activity. The off-trail, downhill skiing is done all over the world. Instead of using the ordinary chairlift you’re dropped off by a helicopter on a seldom visited terrain. Our host Winston went to Crescent Spur in Canada to go heli-skiing at the Rocky Mountain.

The Rush of Heli-skiing
The rush of heli-skiing is that you go by helicopter to places where no other skiers can come. Natural terrains featuring smooth corn snow where you create complete new steep and extreme slopes. Where here Canadian operators directly fly to the spot, the European drop you of near a high peak after which you have to climb further. Heli-skiing is highly regulated in Europe, and is even banned in France.
