Chevrolet Corvette C5
The Chevrolet Corvette C5 is the most successful Corvette car in history. Because of the use of less expensive materials and parts then the ones used in most other sports cars, the Corvette C5 is rather affordable and is not only for the super rich. Although costing less, the Corvette C5 certainly not is outdone by other super sports cars. The Corvette C5 actually is perceived to sometimes exceed them in performance.

The Corvette C5 is styled in a typical streamlined corvette style, for extra speed, and is hydro formed. In hydro forming, malleable materials are shaped in more lightweight material, also contributing in greater speed. In reaching maximum speed, weight distribution also is an important factor. So in most sports cars the engine is placed in the back, instead of in the front, and the Corvette C5 is no exception to this with its 350 HP LS-1 engine. The Corvette C5 is no longer for sale. Sales of the Corvette C5 closed in 2004, making the Corvette C5 a true collectors item.
