IFA 2008: Harman/Kardon DMC 1000
The Harman/Kardon DMC 1000 digital media center has it all. It is a hard drive-based media server that combines ease of use, advanced technology, sleek design and superior performance. Thanks to these principles the Harman/Kardon DMC 1000 was chosen by the EISA (European Imaging and Sound Association) as the European HT Digital Media Player 2008-2009.

The DMC 1000 isn’t just a media player, it is so much more. This media center from Harman/Kardon offers CD ripping and playback, a 250GB hard disk, plus support for up to 1TB of external storage for archiving your music. There's optional iPod connectivity, audio streaming capability for up to four zones and a 1080p-upscaling DVD player with HDMI output.

Once a CD is played for the first time on the Harman/Kardon DMC 1000 it is automatically added to the 250GB hard-drive library. In a short period all your music is digitized. The content from the DMC 1000 hard drive may be copied via the concealed front-panel USB jack and memory card slots to all sorts of storage devices and portable music players. In total the Harman/Kardon DMC 1000 can store more than 60.000 songs on its hard-drive.
