5th generation 7 series
BMW revealed the fifth generation of their 7 series model at the famous Red Square in Moscow. The flagship of the BMW model range debuts November 2008 and has many automotive firsts on board. The speed-related Integral Active Steering-system improves both manoeuvrability and driving comfort. The advanced Night Vision system is upgraded with a pedestrian recognition system.

Efficient dynamics
The roof, doors, bonnet and side panels of the new 7 series are all made from aluminium to enhance the car’s dynamics. The Drive Dynamics Control lets the driver customize the characteristics of the car, as the Variable Damping Control can be set in comfort, normal, sport and sport + mode. The selected mode will now also alter the throttle response, gear change speed and steering feel.

iDrive
Inside the new 7 series you’ll find a new iDrive controller and a large 10.2-inch screen. The buttons for direct selection of the Radio, CD, Navigation and Telecommunications menus are grouped conveniently next to the controller. The high-resolution colour display is equipped with Black Panel technology for greater character clarity. The audio-system and navigation-system share a 40 GB hard drive to store maps and music.
