The war to end all wars
In the fall of 2008 we can expect Tom Clancy’s EndWar. This is a Real Time Strategy game developed by Ubisoft Shanghai especially for the consoles. Set around 2020 World War III comes to life in EndWar. The three superpowers of that time are at war against each other because of a risen conflict about the missile defence shields.
Voice command
In EndWar you can choose to go into battle with the national army’s of Europe, the USA or Russia. The battles take place on 40 real-life battlefields including Paris, Washington D.C. and Moscow. During these battles you’ll act as a commander. In the beginning you’ll have 6 units under your command. Each unit can be monitored via its own helicopter view camera. These units are controlled via voice command and of course by your controller.
Seize and upgrade
The goal of the battle is to seize strategic points on the battlefield. After having conquered a new area you can upgrade special abilities and units. There are over 150 potential upgrades and extras that can be earned or bought in the game. Ubisoft also announced that there will be more downloadable content and an online multiplayer of EndWar.
