Tax Freedom Day goes Netherlands
Americans already knew it. Thanks to SuitClub the Dutch now also celebrate Tax Freedom Day. From that calculated day we earned enough money to fund our annual tax burden and start earning for our own wallet. In the Netherlands this day was on 3 July and therefore that day Tax Free Day 2008 was held in Eindhoven. Wannahaves attended this event and ate oysters in a private jet among other things.

Tax Freedom Day is the first day of the year in which a nation as a whole has theoretically earned enough income to fund its annual tax burden. The concept of Tax Freedom Day was already developed and copyrighted in 1948. Tax Feedom Day is now also being used as a tool for illustrating the proportion of national income diverted to fund the annual cost of government programs.
