Robotic pet
Experts predict that within 10 years more than 50% of the households have robotic pets. By then people do not only have cats and dogs but pets in all sorts of shapes, sizes and colours. The Pleo is one of these robotic pets that stands on the beginning of this revolution.

Newborn Dinosaur
Pleo is a small dinosaur that resembles a baby Camarasaurus. For the first 10 minutes of his life, Pleo acts as a newborn, slowly opening his eyes and getting used to the light. Step by step Pleo discovers the world and starts interacting with his environment.

Artificial Intelligence
Pleo's behaviour comes from artificial intelligence. Based on what happens in Pleo's world the values in his memory change. How you raise your Pleo and what goes on in his environment influences how he grows up. Actually the Pleo never grows up and keeps on learning. The developers have made it possible to download new personalities and even to develop new behaviours.
